ToksBank SEN Consultancy can provide guidance and support services for parents, who suspect their child may have learning difficulties or special educational needs. We do provide support by giving a listening hear to support and guide them through the system.
Transfer to an EHC Plan
Support and advice throughout the transfer process to ensure that the process is compliant with SEND law and the Code of Practice, and that all necessary new information is gathered and used to inform the EHC Plan, with full involvement of the child or young person and their family. This package includes telephone and email support with the transfer process and a healthcheck of the EHC Plan as described above. Additional support such as attendance at meetings with the local authority can be agreed at an extra charge. Prices start at: £395
EHC Plan or Statement
A thorough check of your child's EHC Plan or Statement of SEN to ensure that all the strengths and difficulties described in the EHC (or in the case of Statements of SEN, statutory) assessment and, where applicable, annual reviews of the EHC Plan or Statement of SEN are included in the EHC Plan or Statement of SEN, with appropriate outcomes or objectives and specific provision relating to each area included. This package will include a telephone conversation or meeting with parents to discuss the EHC Plan or Statement of SEN and parents' views, and a written report following the check identifying any areas of concern. Support with DLA Appliation
I provide support for parents on how to fill a DLA application: which includes requesting for the application form, filling it out appropriately, explaining what is required and also making sure that all required evidence are in place. How to request respite from the Local Authority. Prices start at: £150
Request for EHC assessment
Support and advice on putting together a comprehensive request to the local authority for an EHC assessment in order to increase the likelihood of the request being successful, and the full EHC assessment being carried out. Prices start at: £225 for advice and support to the school or parent making the request on what it needs to cover before the request is submitted to the local authority. £125 for advice to parents on what they should send to the local authority as their contribution to a request submitted to the local authority by the school or a professional.
Support for parents at meetings
I can provide support for parents at meetings with the local authority or school including annual reviews or transition reviews within 25 miles of London. This service includes either a pre-meeting with parents or telephone consultation before the meeting, attending the meeting, reading of all the documents and written advice following the meeting.
